Data Deletion

Introduction

Data deletion is a process available for admins on Real Time datasets.

·       Data deletion is final, UrbanTide cannot recover deleted data

·       Prompts are in place to prevent accidental deletion

Step 1

Click the Show Filter button to uncover the Delete Data button.

Step 2

Use the filters to limit the data you want to delete, a filter must be in place for the delete function to work, this is to prevent a user from easily deleting the whole dataset.

Step 3

Pressing Delete Data will bring up the following modal showing the URQL query and number of records to be deleted. If the number of records to be deleted is more than 10000 records the deletion may take some time as the delete action proceeds.

As a precaution the user is expected to input the text “Permanently Delete” to acknowledge the action and prevent accidental deletion.

Step 4

An “Are you sure” dialog will confirm the users action, when the data is deleted there is no way to recover the deleted data.

Step 5

When the deletion has completed the user will be presented with a confirmation.

Step 6

And checking the query will show the data is indeed deleted.
